James H Coates– I’ve had a passion for radio since I was 16 when Scooter Davis (of the Beaver) aired our phone conversation on live radio. I was hooked!
My radio journey began in 1989 in Christian radio. Since then, I’ve worked at a handful of stations; for seven years I was a weather reporter/producer for over 100 stations daily. For over 30 years, I have produced and hosted a variety of Bluegrass shows all across the nation. I enjoy playing music, songwriting, painting, camping, reading, poetry, and most of all spending time with family. I am married to my beautiful wife, Rose and I have four children and five grandchildren, and a dog named Murphy. My favorite quote, “Life is short, smile while you have teeth.”
